If you are new to this this blog, you might find yourself confused as to my orientation which I understand is not the "norm". I comment on culture and life around me as I perceive it. I have endeavored through the last 14 years of intense spiritual practices and purification, to become more of a compassionate being. In doing so, I do not lose awareness of the darkness in my planetary brothers and sisters, I am always aware of the potential for violence, hate, cruelty, and malice in humanity. And I am aware of the sacred spark in all of us. From the criminal to the saint - all embodied beings have this sacred spark in them innately no matter what their deeds - even the criminally insane. If you want to read about New Orleans there are lots of blogs listed right after this posting and once you go to them you will find other blogs you may resonate with.

My experiences and perceptions of New Orleans are reflected in this blog. My observations of racism have been a predominant factor in many of the postings over the last year. I speak
to and about racism. Speaking as honestly as I can in any given moment, about racism, does not make me a racist.
