Earthquake Awareness: Caribbean Earthquake Swarms, New Orleans and the Michoud Fault

Update: 8/13/11 - the swarms continue in the Caribbean. Blessings to all who are living in these areas of tetonic movement.

Dr. Janet Starr Hull: The Earth Expansion Theory in the Gulf of Mexico

The Gulf of Mexico is heating up due to a rise in magma flow convecting (running like a conveyor belt) under the Gulf floor. This is the Earth Expansion Theory, where the Earth heats up, filling the salt domes with tar (magma melting oil and creating tar), and pushing the ocean floor up. The tar bubbles as it heats up, and it outgases.”

This expansion lifts the Gulf floor, which displaces the water and floods the coastal areas, and also causes movement along the bordering plate boundaries and fracture zones. Texas is now having more earthquakes everyday, including the 3.0 west of Waxahachie a few days ago along the Balcones. The Llano Uplift will respond, as well as the New Madrid.

“This is the Earth Expansion Theory, with a flow of rising magma under the Gulf floor.”

"In Louisiana, prolific oil and gas reservoirs are found in porous sands which drape over and on the sides of salt domes. Nearly every Louisiana salt dome is crested with oil and gas. The St. Gabriel Field is a prime example and has produced the equivalent of fifty million barrels of oil.

The sedimentary layers above and on the sides of a salt dome are usually broken up by disruptions called faults. These faults separate the structure into blocks. These fault blocks are in effect separate containers or reservoirs. There are still numerous undrilled fault blocks in this Field. Within the last few years a new tool, called 3D seismic, has been developed that pinpoints these fault blocks with extreme accuracy".

A recent investigation located more than 27,000 abandoned wells in the area, about 600 of them belong to British Petroleum. Many of the wells have gone without inspection for years, posing the risk of leaking oil into the Gulf. SustainabilityNinja.com

In 1995, the USGS determined that the Austin Chalk is our Nation's largest, onshore domestic unconventional, continuous-type oil resource. More recently, exploration and production in frontier areas of Texas and Louisiana have shown that the Austin Chalk has additional potential as a continuous-type deep-gas resource mostly to the east and downdip of existing oil plays.

Question Yahoo Finance Message Board:

Anadarko to start fracking in the austin chalk in Louisana, specifly in Pointe Coupee parrish?

Answer: Have heard of lease/unit hearing activity by Anadarko related to properties in Avoyelles and Point Coupee Parishes. Understand the activity is related to oil potential in the chalk, using horizontal wells, including fracking to stimulate inflow.

(Planetary Opine: Fracking cracks the earth and then fills it with a quick low cost solution. It's the deep earth version of blowin off the mountain tops in the Appalachians mountains).

New Orleans: Slow-moving disaster rolls down Mississippi River (Assoicated Press)

6/20/11: Stop eating the fish you are catching! As of a few weeks ago many I know who fish in the river and lake stopped because as fishermen, they knew intuitively something was wrong with the fish. I am now hearing that people may be getting sick from eating the fish. If you are feeling sick and you have been fishin in the Mississippi or the Lake and the Gulf, stop for a few weeks and see if your symptoms disappear.

Planetary Editorial Note: I've highlighted in color areas of  that were of concern to me related to New Orleans and the rising Mississippi River flood waters. It's time to become more thoughtful about what to pack. Have a bug out bag ready and some food, battery's, flashlight, etc.  Important documents, and electronics organized for the next step of packing. Special needs items meds, etc. Photo's, memento's. Pet food and pet meds and needs. Vehicle working? Money for gas? Extra money for a bus or train? Do you know the schedules? Let's be thoughtful and prepared. The Mississippi is at 15.16 May-6-2011. Flood stage is 17' and according to noaa.gov our levees can hold up to 20'.

HICKMAN, Ky. (AP) - Jail inmates filled sandbag after sandbag to protect one of the many Southern river cities threatened by the swelling Mississippi as it broke more 1930s flood records and crept higher Thursday.

A flooding tributary threatened to cut off Interstate 40, a major east-west route through Arkansas, and the Army Corps of Engineers planned to blast a new breach in a Missouri levee in hopes of controlling the slow-motion disaster flowing downriver.

The relief from blowing up the levee is probably only temporary downstream in Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana because the water will eventually find its way back into the Mississippi River.

Arkansas recorded its eighth death since the rains started April 25 when authorities found the body of a man in the floodwaters in eastern Arkansas' Prairie County.

In Kentucky, about 3,800 residents have left their homes.

Memphis, where the Mississippi was at 43.8 feet Tuesday, could see a crest of 48 feet on May 11, just inches below the record of 48.7 feet set in 1937. Water from the Wolf and Loosahatchie rivers already has seeped into the suburbs, and some mobile home parks were swamped.

Emergency management officials said more than 1,100 houses and apartments could be hit with flooding. Several hundred people have already left, and thousands more are expected to follow them.

In Louisiana, shippers, ports and the chemical industry hoped the government could dredge fast enough to keep a major channel into the Gulf of Mexico unclogged. The Mississippi sends huge amounts of sediment downriver during high-water times.

Because the maximum-security Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola is particularly flood-prone, the state planned to evacuate the most medically vulnerable inmates by Monday, then others later.

New Orleans: Chemtrail Gumbo - The government is messin with da weather again!

After a freakishy cold day yesterday, New Orleanians awoke to a chilly but warm'in morning. Then at about 9:30 a.m. the sky sprayin began... sigh...

 One Love

Planetary Update:

It may seem as if I am being lighthearted about the chemtrailin and the weather modification. I am not. This is serious. I will add links in the next few days about the chemicals in the chemtrails and the affects on health as well as the weather.

Usually, it is in the 80's during the day and high 60's - 70's by night and humid by May. After the chem-trailing today, the winds kicked up, the dewpoint dropped, and at 1:18 a.m. in the morning it is cold for New Orleans, it feels as if it is in the 50's although there are varying weather conditions being reported from 68 degrees to 63 degrees. I don't know why they are modifing the weather to be colder with less humidity, but they are.

Flood Warning in Effect - New Orleans: May 2011

6/20/11: Stop eating the fish you are catching! As of a few weeks ago many I know who fish in the river and lake stopped because as fishermen, they knew intuitively something was wrong with the fish. I am now hearing that people may be getting sick from eating the fish. If you are feeling sick and you have been fishin in the Mississippi or the Lake and the Gulf, stop for a few weeks and see if your symptoms disappear.

This is not over. Even if the Morganza Spillway was closed... The Missouri River is flooding and the Missouri flows into the Mississippi. We are not out of the water yet so to speak. http://postkatrina2008.blogspot.com/2011/05/52511-stating-obviousflooding-and.html

"I still don't think people understand the immensity of this flood,"  "The rain event we've had the past two weeks is 600 percent above normal."

Maj. Gen. Michael Walsh, Mississippi River Commission President

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Investigates Radioactive Water Dump into Flooded Mississippi River
PORT GIBSON, MS. (HNN) - Workers at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant in Mississippi accidentally released water from an abandoned unit into the river, but a sensor triggered altering them to the presence of Tritum, a cancer causing radionuclide.

Although the material has uses in thermonuclear weapons systems, it is commonly used to make phosphor material to create permanent illumination (wristwatch dials, firearms night-sights).

Lisa Uselding, public affairs officer with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region IV, told reporters, “although the concentration of tritium exceeded EPA drinking water limits, the release should not represent a hazard to public health because of its dilution in the river.”

US nuclear units monitor rising Mississippi River
HOUSTON, May 6 (Reuters) - Nuclear power-plant operators are monitoring forecasts for the rising waters of the Mississippi River and preparing to shut plants later in the
month if flooding threatens access to sites or operation of plant safety systems, a regulator said on Friday. High water is not expected to disrupt operations at nuclear
plants located along rivers in the Midwest, but Entergy Corp officials are preparing for high water at three reactor sites along the Mississippi River from near Vicksburg,
Mississippi, to New Orleans, a company spokesman said.
